Role Description As Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing our core technology platform. You’ll work across the entire tech stack to design and implement scalable solutions that drive efficiency and innovation in our operations, working closely with Wallround’s founding team, especially the CPO and CEO. This is an opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges while shaping the technical foundation of a fast-growing startup. Key Responsibilities * Full Stack Development: Build end-to-end solutions, from database architecture to user interfaces, using modern technologies. * System Architecture: Contribute to strategic decisions on system design and scalability. * Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks across front-end and back-end systems. * AI & Automation: Leverage state-of-the-art AI tools to enhance development efficiency. * API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs for platform functionality and third-party integrations. * DevOps & CI/CD: Support DevOps practices by setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. * Code Quality: Uphold high standards through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices. * Leadership: Build your own technical team from the ground up and act as a mentor to junior developers as the team scales * Agile Practices: Actively participate in agile workflows like sprint planning and retrospectives. What We Are Looking For * Experience: 5+ years in full stack development with a proven track record of delivering complex applications. * Technical Skills: Proficiency in React, Node.js, TypeScript, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. * System Design: Ability to architect scalable systems with distributed components. * Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinker with excellent debugging capabilities. * Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities. * Communication Skills: Fluent in English (German preferred) with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. * Continuous Learning: Passionate about staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices. * Automation & AI Interest: Knowledge of, or at least a strong interest in identifying opportunities to automate processes and leverage AI solutions for development. * Bonus Points: Interest in PropTech, sustainability, or real estate is a plus!
