The role is ideal for an applicant with experience in research into sustainability, design for longevity and/ or circularity, who is interested in being involved in the ongoing development and testing of a Reusable PPE Gown System - to better support people and planet.</p>
   <p>The role encompasses general project management duties, including communicating with, documenting collaborations with partners and stakeholders in the PPE, healthcare and clothing design industries. Assisting with follow-on funding applications and identifying new partners to explore and extend the sustainable benefits of the gown system will also be part of the role.</p>
   <p>In addition to undertaking desk-based research and administrative support, there are creative opportunities for facilitating repurposing workshops and pilot studies with fashion and textile SMEs to scope potential repurposing strategies.</p>
   <p>Professor Townsend is a member of the Sustainable Transitions group, within the Fashion and Textile Research Centre. The group investigates diverse pathways toward sustainable fashion and textile systems, from industry-facing initiatives to practice-based design research and speculative explorations.</p>

    Role Overview As a Data Science/Data Analytics Placement Student/Early Career Researcher, you will work alongside our research team to develop data tools, create interactive dashboards, and contribute to research projects. This placement will provide you with the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges, enhancing your skills and preparing you for a successful career in data science or analytics.

The NTU VCSE Data and Insights Observatory is offering an exciting placement opportunity for a student to join our team and gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful research projects.
   Since its establishment in 2022, The Observatory has become a leading research centre dedicated to collaborating with and for the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector. Our mission is to measure, evaluate, and communicate trends and insights that empower the sector to analyse existing data and generate new data, using rigorous methodologies that reduce data redundancy and duplication.
    Key Skills and Experience Required
   
    Currently enrolled in a Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related degree program.
    Familiarity with data analytics, data cleaning, and visualization techniques.
    Experience with Python and data analysis tools.
    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
