Learn how to create an effective CV in the midst of application season with the WiSTEM team, and pick up tips on cover letters too. This event will include an introductory talk on CVs and cover letters, and a speed review session where you can get your CV reviewed - this means there's something for you whether you're a first year new to the world of work, or you'd like feedback on your current CV. We'll also have time for Q&A to boost your confidence, with WiSTEM EXEC members and/or the Careers Services team. Refreshments will be provided. This event is open to everyone, but non-members and non-students will need a ticket (please check back later to see tickets). We will also aim to have a card machine on the day for walk ins. Members do not need to get a free SU ticket to attend. We aim to provide inclusivity and provide a platform to create a supportive environment for underrepresented people in STEM, including our events, ranging from socials to career workshops, which are posted here on Huzzle. You can join here as a Huzzle member to get updates on our events (these will also be posted to your inbox, so super handy if you tend to plan society events but you need a reminder!) alongside your main Huzzle careers account. This is different from being an official member of the Women in STEM society - if you'd like to be a member, the link to our SU webpage is in our links section. From the week beginning 28th October, some events will only be free for society members, so you need to purchase a ticket on the SU website even if you have signed up on Huzzle.
