You asked. We've delivered! After another massive success last semester, GUTS and SoCS are excited to announce that the event will make a comeback this year for the second time. Join us on 22/02/2024, for a night of trivia, drinking, and chatting to your lecturers! We will also be holding a raffle this time round where you have the chance to walk away with extra goodies (including a signed drawing of the one and only John Williamson)! Food and and one drink token are included in the ticket, so make sure to show up with an empty tummy, and a head full of knowledge.

The Glasgow University Tech Society (GUTS) is the official student society for the School of Computing Science and aims to provide students with opportunities to socialise, develop their technical ability and connect with our industrial partners. From hackathons and workshops to pub crawls and black tie galas, the society is there for all students. Our annual hackathon – Do You Have The GUTS? – is one of the largest hackathons in the UK, attracting students of all abilities from all corners of the country to compete in challenges set by our wide range of sponsors. So whether you’re a tech enthusiast or someone with just a tiny bit (or byte) of interest, you are very welcome to join our events – it’s not all ones and zeroes! There’s no membership fee and no requirement for School of Computing Science students to apply for membership.
