About

Drop in to our study sessions to catch up with your assignments or revise in the company of fellow students. We use the Pomodoro method, to have timed periods of silent study and short breaks inbetween. We will have lined paper and graph paper for you to use if you are joining us in person, and you can borrow a laptop from the library to work on if you'd like. This event is open to all students, both undergraduates and postgraduates, whether you have a membership or not. This event is hybrid, so you can join us on campus (NTC 1.01, in the North Teaching Centre) or on Microsoft Teams (Meeting ID: 335 038 757 848; Passcode: AhAaDk) where you can follow our timed periods of study, and you can chat to us during breaks if you'd like. Please feel free to email us at wistemessex@outlook.com or on our WhatsApp community (available on our society Resources tab) if you get lost finding the room on campus, or if you are having issues joining our Teams Meeting.

About

Hi there! If you’re on this page it must mean you’re passionate about STEM… we are too! We aim to provide inclusivity and provide a platform to create a supportive environment for underrepresented people in STEM, including our events, ranging from socials to career workshops, which are posted here on Huzzle. You can join here as a Huzzle member to get updates on our events (these will also be posted to your inbox, so super handy if you tend to plan society events but you need a reminder!) alongside your main Huzzle careers account. This is different from being an official member of the Women in STEM society - if you'd like to be a member, the link to our SU webpage is in our links section. From the week beginning 28th October, some events will only be free for society members, so you need to purchase a ticket on the SU website even if you have signed up on Huzzle. Drop us a message if you have any questions. For more information, please head over to our page on the SU website: https://www.essexstudent.com/opportunities/club/17850/
