DO NOT REGISTER VIA HUZZLE YOU WILL NOT GET A PLACE. This is a great opportunity to get involved in mooting. This is our biggest competition every year and this year we have amazing prizes up for grabs! Any ability is welcome! It will be supplemented by training events from our two mooting secretaries Ellie and Isobel. The first round will be held online on the 26th and 4 people will be chosen to compete in a final round held in the moot court on the 9th of November. The Edward Bramley Law Society is the largest and one of the most prestigious societies on campus at The University of Sheffield, with almost 1,000 law and non-law members. The society was founded within the 1950's and has thrived ever since. To our members we offer a vast array of opportunities which are centered around both career and academic advancement, as well as hosting a variety of socials to ensure you make the make of your time at university! We believe, with an increasingly competitive graduate job market, we need to keep up to date with what potential employers will be looking for within students. It is for this reason that we host career and academic events, legal workshops and competitions, careers dinners and much, much more, with the intention of building upon these skills to ensure post-graduate success. We also host sell-out social events, field three winning sports teams, hold various charity events.
