About

We will be running online wildlife-themed volunteering sessions this month, where you will be helping projects with crucial conservation efforts. This event will be hosted by our Volunteering and Fundraising Officer Vedika. Vedika will guide you through these sessions, including what you need to do. This is also something you can add on your CV, and your name may even be mentioned on a scientific paper for your help with these projects! Past projects we have joined in on include Iberian Camera Traps, Frog Find, Project Rattlecam and Woodpecker Activity Cam - if you have any suggestions, let us know on our WhatsApp Community (on our society page) These sessions will be hosted on Microsoft Teams, and is open to all students.

About

Hi there! If you’re on this page it must mean you’re passionate about STEM… we are too! We aim to provide inclusivity and provide a platform to create a supportive environment for underrepresented people in STEM, including our events, ranging from socials to career workshops, which are posted here on Huzzle. You can join here as a Huzzle member to get updates on our events (these will also be posted to your inbox, so super handy if you tend to plan society events but you need a reminder!) alongside your main Huzzle careers account. This is different from being an official member of the Women in STEM society - if you'd like to be a member, the link to our SU webpage is in our links section. From the week beginning 28th October, some events will only be free for society members, so you need to purchase a ticket on the SU website even if you have signed up on Huzzle. Drop us a message if you have any questions. For more information, please head over to our page on the SU website: https://www.essexstudent.com/opportunities/club/17850/
