Responsibilities

  • Gather, compile, review, validate, and analyze data and information from multiple sources
  • Use software for functional area, to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence and presentations
  • Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
  • Ability to effectively manage time in completing assigned tasks
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
  • This position typically spend 70% of their time supporting production, performing observations of the operations (Time studies) and 30% analyzing the data
  • Be able to validate facility layout using AutoCAD
  • Basic knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma Manufacturing methodologies for waste reduction, 5S, Standard Work, TAKT, Pull System, single piece flow, Value Stream Mapping, cell design and manufacturing flow
  • Support the creation of current state process flow based on observations, and participate in brainstorming sessions to improve process
  • Conduct 6S audits
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the Industrial Engineering tools
  • Other duties as assigned
