Mission & Purpose

At Macquarie, we empower people to innovate and invest for a better future. We are a global financial services organisation with Australian heritage, operating in 34 markets.

Culture & Values

  • Opportunity

We seek to identify opportunity and realise it for our clients, communities, partners, shareholders and our people. We start with real knowledge and skill. We encourage innovation, ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit balanced with operational discipline. We support our people to learn, achieve and succeed. Our success is built on this. We value the opportunity to be part of the Macquarie team, actively seeking out and respecting different ways of thinking and the contribution of others.

  • Accountability

With opportunity, comes accountability. We are accountable for all our actions, to our stakeholders and each other. We do not compromise our standards. We take responsibility for our actions and everything we say and do is on the record. We analyse and manage risk, and we make decisions we are proud of and that stand the test of time.

  • Integrity

We act honestly and fairly. We honour our promises. We earn the trust of our stakeholders through the quality of our work and our high ethical standards. We have the courage to speak up when we make a mistake or see something that doesn’t seem right.

Benefits

  • Flexibility and hybrid working

At Macquarie, hybrid working empowers us to work together flexibly, balancing time spent working in the office and at home. Our shift to hybrid working is an extension of our long-standing commitment to flexible working. We are a people business. We build relationships and learn from each other. Hybrid working enables us to balance the needs of our clients, colleagues and teams, taking advantage of the benefits of coming together in person and providing our people with the flexibility they need. There are plenty of opportunities for our employees to connect with their colleagues including through our Employee Network Groups such as Pride at Macquarie, Families and Carers, Asia Women's Network, Wellness and Inclusion, and Women in Tech. Other employee-led networking and community opportunities include sporting groups and networking events. Each of our business groups has different needs so expectations for hybrid working are set on a group and team basis. Formal flexible working arrangements are also available.

  • Leave to support your lifestyle and wellbeing

We offer a range of leave options to help our people manage their work and life priorities. • Take care of your family

Your family is important to you, so they are important to us too. We support parents in many ways including through our parental leave policy. Primary carers are eligible for 20 weeks’ leave at full pay. There is no minimum tenure requirement meaning all employees are eligible for parental leave upon starting work at Macquarie. That means new parents can return to work four days and get paid for five days per week for 12 weeks; or return three days and get paid for five days per week for six weeks. Co-parents can access up to six weeks paid leave at the time of birth, adoption or custody. Other support services are also available including parents' rooms and access to a range of resources.
