What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is scheduled from mid-May through mid-August of 2025.
Is this internship location-specific?
Yes, the position primarily works from our office in Duluth or an assigned project site, but there may be flexible/hybrid work arrangements available.
What academic background is required for this internship?
Candidates must be undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a structural emphasis.
Are out-of-state students encouraged to apply?

What software skills are beneficial for this internship?
Previous experience or training with Revit and/or AutoCAD is advantageous, along with strong knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.

Yes, the intern will be engaged in various active facilities projects and will have exposure to different stages of the project life cycle.
Does the internship include any training programs?
Yes, the internship program includes formal software training, workshops, networking opportunities, and mentorship relationships.
Is there an opportunity for overtime during the internship?
Yes, interns may have the opportunity to work occasional overtime throughout the summer.
Are there qualification requirements for travel during the internship?
Yes, candidates must be able to travel locally for project assignments, team meetings, and site visits as needed.
What pre-employment steps must the selected candidate complete?
The selected candidate will need to complete a standard pre-employment background screening, which includes Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
