Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Estimator and Estimation team to ensure accurate and complete proposals for bidding potential projects
  • Learn capability of Estimation Software in order to prepare bid for client
  • Thoroughly read and analyze bid documents for all details including scope, general conditions, alternates, allowances, bonds, taxes, etc.
  • Support Estimation Team by counting lighting fixtures and evaluate the project drawings
  • Maintain Request for Information (RFI) logs
  • Study, understand and analyze specifications for types of materials, project duration, conditions, working hours, etc.
  • Solicit and obtain accurate and multiple subcontractor quotes
  • Learn about Labor Quotes and man hours required for project size and cope from the Estimation Team/VP of Operations
  • Assist in creating a detailed take-off for Plan Spec and Design-Build/Design-Assist projects
  • Help Prepare a Detailed Budget/Estimate, bid summaries and Proposal Letter including scope of project
