Mission & Purpose

The Message Trust is a Christian charity passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with the hardest-to-reach people and communities. Across the UK and the world you'll find us in schools, communities, prisons and churches sharing the gospel in word and deed, whilst also training up the next generation of evangelists too. There are so many ways we do this… In schools you’ll find our bands and teams running lessons and gigs that point young people to the love and hope of Jesus. In the poorest communities you’ll find teams of urban missionaries (Eden teams) living for the long-term sharing their daily lives with their neighbours and partnering with churches to bring new life and hope to once forgotten places. In prisons, we’re sharing the love of Jesus and seeing lives transformed as we run courses, services and mentoring programmes. But our work doesn’t stop at the prison gates. Through our Message Enterprise Centre we’re helping ex-offenders and those at risk of offending grow in their faith, find jobs and housing, breaking the cycle of reoffending once and for all. No one should struggle to find their next meal. So partnering with local churches we’re running Community Groceries up and down the UK that give members the chance to shop for just £3 a visit whilst also accessing support, and hearing about Jesus at the same time. On Message buses, young people find a safe place to go, packed full of things to do with their mates, whilst also getting to hear about Jesus in God slots. And we're raising up the next generation of evangelists through our year out programme (Message Academy) and Advance Groups too. What started in Manchester has now grown with teams across the UK and beyond. Our passion for sharing the gospel is what drives us, and we’d love you to be part of what we do.
