What is the duration of the Accounts Summer Internship?
The internship runs for a period of six to eight weeks during the summer.
When can I apply for the internship?
Applications are open from 17 September 2024 to 31 December 2024, although they may close earlier due to high demand.
What qualifications do I need to apply?
You need to be in your penultimate year of university, expect a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline, have at least 120 UCAS points from A Levels (or equivalent), and achieve a minimum of 6 (or B) in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
What will I be doing during the internship?
You will be involved in accounts preparation assignments, working on client files, and may test various balances within financial statements, while also gaining exposure to different teams and departments such as audit, accounts, and tax.
Will I receive any training during the internship?
Yes, you will benefit from a bookkeeping course during your time with us, and you'll be partnered with a dedicated mentor for guidance.
Is there a chance for a training contract after the internship?
Yes, there is potential for receiving an offer for a training contract to continue your career with Saffery after completing your degree, without needing to go through another application process.
