What are the responsibilities of a Civil Engineer Intern in this position?
The Civil Engineer Intern will assist project engineers and project managers with design and administrative tasks, prepare engineering calculations, cost estimates, and reports, solve technical problems, learn proficiency in computer-aided drafting software, and maintain a neat and orderly work area.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or civil engineering technology, have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and actively engage multiple perspectives when solving problems. CAD experience in AutoCAD or Microstation is preferred, as well as a special interest in transportation engineering and design.
Is this position full-time or part-time?
Ideally, the position would be for 40 hours per week during the summer months and could transition to a part-time schedule when school starts in the fall, if needed.
