What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is for the Summer of 2025.
Where will the intern be based?
The intern will be based in either the Raleigh, NC office or the Charlotte, NC office.
What educational qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related specialization from an accredited ABET university.
What software skills are required for this position?
A basic knowledge of CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Microstation) and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required.
Is any prior experience needed for this internship?
No prior experience is specified, but coursework or experience related to the design of concrete or steel structures is preferred.
What will the intern's responsibilities include?
Responsibilities will include assisting with the design of structural components for roadways and bridges, preparing plans and specifications, gathering data for reports, and performing design calculations.
