Is this a remote position?
No, this is not a remote position; the internship is located in our Mobile, Alabama office.
What academic qualifications are required for this internship?
Applicants must be in the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
What kind of projects will I work on as an intern?
Interns will contribute to the pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple water/wastewater projects of varying sizes and scopes.
Will I receive training on specific software during the internship?
Yes, interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines, which may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS.
What are the core responsibilities of this internship?
Interns will analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients, solve complex problems, assist project managers, collaborate across disciplines, and develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations.
