Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hydrology type work or coursework and Hydraulics coursework.
  • All applicants should be eligible to work in the US and attend a university or college physically located in the United States.
  • Be highly motivated, able to work in a fast paced environment, and have great communication skills.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • HydroCAD experience a plus.
  • Site/Civil interest specifically Land Development.
  • Students with some prior internship experience are preferred, but any candidates who apply will be reviewed and considered for different roles.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Our interns will assist technical staff on day-to-day projects in their respective disciplines.
  • Preparing site plans under direction of junior engineers.
  • Code reviews.
  • Code requirements from municipalities.
  • SWPPP inspections (will be trained on this by team).
  • Erosion inspections on-site.
  • CED internships are unique in that they are work-centered, meaning you are working on real, billable client work right away.
  • This is a great way to gain real life experience in consulting.
  • In addition to the work-centered program, we also offer robust internship programming, which includes opportunities to work with other interns, learn about other areas of the business, and develop valuable communication skills and networking connections.
