Responsibilities

  • Acquire knowledge and develop basic skills in Telecommunications.
  • Apply learned techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and proactively utilize provided resources and support.
  • Prepare low-level complexity general engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
  • Design/draft lease exhibits with parameters provided.
  • Perform structural analysis and modification design of telecommunication infrastructure (mounts, towers, equipment platforms, etc.) including generating accurate analysis models and CAD drawings under the supervision of engineers.
  • Attend site visits with senior staff members.
  • Conduct as-built site audits.
  • Design/draft basic zoning & construction drawings (modification sites, co-location sites, etc.) with parameters provided.
  • Review zoning ordinances and regulations to determine applicable requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of applicable building codes and design standards (ANSI/TIA, AISC, ACI, NEC, NESC, etc.).
  • Identify basic off-the-shelf components for site design and antenna mount upgrades.
  • Assist with other project related tasks such as permit applications, material testing, and CAD work.
  • Exercise judgment on details of work and work under direct supervision on all aspects of tasks assigned.
  • Work within RISA 3D, TNX Tower and AutoCAD Civil 3D to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
  • Develop an understanding of basic Telecom in site design (antenna types, wiring diagrams, RFDS sheets, equipment types, etc.).
