Requirements

  • Co-op student who demonstrates strong communications, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interest in cyber/physical/information security and a passion for promoting security awareness.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • To qualify as a candidate, individual's must be enrolled in the Co-op Program and have yet to graduate from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada.
  • 3rd of 4th year students working on their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other applicable studies are preferred. Previous work experience is an asset.
  • Students with experience or enrolled in marketing, communications, media, or Behavioral sciences programs.
  • Experience or knowledge in cyber/physical/information security awareness.
  • Flair for marketing, media, and designing engaging, creative content (written, design, video creation).
  • As a condition of employment at BC Hydro, a background check clearance will be required.
  • This position is for a four month work term with a potential to extend for one additional term.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) Program Office, you will play a role in promoting and fostering a culture of cyber, physical, and information security awareness across BC Hydro.
  • You will collaborate with the team and assist in implementing various initiatives aimed at building security awareness and the regulatory compliance requirements designed to protect BC Hydro’s critical infrastructure.
  • Responsibilities related to the CIP Program Office will include assisting in the development of content, the execution of campaign tactics, and delivery of informative material and resources.
