Responsibilities

  • Assist with reproductive days (primarily IVF) with our dairy genetic nucleus donor herd.
  • Support the Genetic Services team to align with customer expectations.
  • Prepare data loads and process herd data through the GMS (Genetic Management System) computer program, providing professional and courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Create reports and conduct data analysis to ensure herd information is processed accurately, minimizing turnaround time.
  • Maintain an understanding of genetic science to problem-solve and meet customer requests.
  • Conduct farm visits to assist with trainings, customer meetings, and report presentations.
  • Interact with the ABS Global Dairy Product Development team as needed.
  • Be exposed to other departments during the internship, depending on interest.
  • Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision.
  • Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
  • Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
