What tasks will the intern be responsible for in this role?
The intern will assist in building out racks of equipment, cabling, labeling, Linux and Windows administration, security posturing, network monitoring, and documentation of procedures.
What skills are required for the Data Center Engineering Intern position?
Candidates should have a willingness to learn, basic knowledge of IP addressing and subnets, knowledge of cable standards, understanding of LAN/WAN networks, troubleshooting skills, and exceptional organizing and time-management skills.
What additional skills will help candidates on the job?
Scripting experience, VMWare or AWS/Cloud experience, basic automation experience, and familiarity with tools such as Git, Jenkins, Puppet, and Ansible will be beneficial.
