What is the duration of the internship?
The internship lasts for approximately 12 weeks, from June to mid-August.
Are there opportunities for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, interns will work closely with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship.
What kind of projects will the intern work on?
The intern will support the asset management team with day-to-day oversight of the bridge lending portfolio, assist with analyzing loan opportunities, and contribute to project presentations.
Is prior experience in real estate required?
No prior experience in real estate is required, but candidates should be current students pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
What skills are valued for this internship?
The ideal candidate should have effective written and oral communication skills, strong organization and detail orientation, modeling and data analytics experience, and good customer service and collaboration skills.
Will the intern participate in any networking events?
Yes, the internship includes opportunities for networking with senior leadership through meet & greet sessions and in-depth panel discussions.
What software skills are required for this position?
Interns should have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, or similar programs.
Is the internship in person or remote?
The internship requires interns to work in person from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Will interns be involved in community service activities?
Yes, there will be a volunteering event for interns to give back to the community and enhance their teamwork skills.
When will interns present their project findings?
Interns will prepare and deliver a presentation to Berkshire’s Senior Leadership Team at the end of the summer, summarizing their project and insights gained during the internship.
