What is the primary role of the Engineering/Technical Student at PCL?
The primary role includes assisting Field Engineers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Estimators with various tasks such as conducting safety and quality audits, reading and understanding drawings and specifications, and preparing project documentation.
What qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates must be currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry, such as Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Electrical Engineering, and have a desire to pursue a career as a Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator.
Is a valid driver's license necessary for this position?
Yes, applicants must be 18 years or older and possess a valid driver's license.
Are there any physical requirements for this internship?
Yes, candidates must be able to navigate through a construction site daily, climb ladders and stairs, and work around heavy equipment, cranes, and other construction equipment.
Will I need to relocate for this internship?
Yes, applicants must be willing to temporarily relocate to project locations.
