What are the start and end dates for the internship?
The internship is part of the WSP Summer Internship Program, scheduled to start on May 19th, 2025, and will last for 12 weeks. The individual start date may be flexible.
Is this internship paid?
Yes, the expected salary for the internship ranges from $19.57 to $30.53 per hour.
Are there relocation or housing assistance available for this internship?
No, there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
What qualifications are required to apply for this internship?
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Planning or related undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later, must be 18 years or older, and must be authorized to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Is prior experience required for this internship?
No prior experience is required; however, a demonstrated interest in Environmental Planning and a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP’s work and projects are preferred.
Will there be opportunities for mentorship during the internship?
Yes, interns will gain access to mentorship and networking opportunities through WSP’s Developing Professionals Network.
What type of tasks will the intern be responsible for?
The intern will support a variety of planning tasks, assist with project research, field work, preliminary design calculations, preparation of final design plans, and maintaining project documentation.
Are there any preferred qualifications for this internship?
Preferred qualifications include being actively enrolled in an accredited Environmental Planning or related master's or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2025 or later, as well as prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
