What is the purpose of the Fashion Accessories Department Volunteer role?
The purpose of the role is to select, clean, label, and display fashion accessories in our charity shop while helping the British Heart Foundation fund lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases.
Who can apply to be a volunteer?
We are unable to accept volunteers aged under 16 or those with unspent criminal convictions.
Is this a paid position?
No, this is an unpaid voluntary position.
What are the typical tasks involved in this role?
Typical tasks include creating attractive displays of fashion accessories, keeping the accessories department stocked, sorting and cleaning donated items, and valuing and pricing donated accessories.
What benefits do volunteers receive?
Volunteers receive a 25% discount on donated goods, a 10% discount on new goods, unlimited free support from Retail Trust, access to training and development, reasonable travel expense reimbursement, refreshments, volunteer certificates, references, long service awards, and discounts with other retailers.
How flexible are the volunteering hours?
Volunteering is easy, flexible, and inclusive; you can spare a few hours a week or a couple of hours occasionally.
