The primary focus of the Geotechnical Intern position is to support the Geotechnical service line through hands-on experience, learning laboratory testing capabilities, shadowing field exploration teams, and assisting with data review and report preparation.
What kind of educational background is required for the Geotechnical Intern position?
A high school diploma is required, along with a Bachelor of Science degree in progress in engineering or geology. The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree.

Yes, you will be assigned a leader/mentor in the geotechnical engineering field who will assist you with career planning and technical skill development.
What are some of the responsibilities I will have as a Geotechnical Intern?
As a Geotechnical Intern, you will perform sampling or testing as directed, seek learning opportunities from your mentor, assist field and laboratory personnel, and eventually create and present a final presentation regarding your summer experiences.
