  • Essential:
  • Minimum degree (BEng/BSc/MEng) in Geotechnical / Civil / Mining Engineering or other related engineering subject, or relevant MSc

  • Ability to lead on projects and when required instruct
  • Willing to take on task outside of their normal role, such as organising / present at a lunch and learn

Responsibilities

  • Provide office-based support to senior staff in the Nottingham office working on a range of mining projects. The type of work will help develop this person towards chartered status and is envisaged to include the following:
  • Support tendering activities / proposal writing
  • Planning, procurement and management of site investigations
  • Oversee installation of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring of readings
  • Numerical modelling
  • Factual reporting
  • Interpretive reporting
  • Production of detailed designs and specifications
  • Production of tender documents and bills of quantities
  • Construction supervision
