Responsibilities

  • Prepare project related technical documents including environmental reports, technical specifications, work plans & cost estimates, and drawings for review.
  • Field work and oversight associated with environmental investigations and remediation activities will be required, and will include site investigations, contractor management, drilling, soil sampling, well installation, groundwater sampling, excavation, contract administration, vapour sampling, etc. Project types range from environmental monitoring, due diligence, soil/groundwater management in private and public sectors including infrastructure and property/building developments.
  • Support contract administration, construction oversight, site inspection/monitoring, and operations support, including with full-time site work for projects.
  • Coordination and scheduling of project related work, including working with other GHD staff, external contractors, and public entities (i.e. obtain permits)
  • Contribute to waste projects that include landfills, transfer stations, recycling facilities, anaerobic digestion facilities, composting facilities, and/or waste-to-energy facilities.
  • Contribute to the development and coordination of construction contract documents, field notes, mark-up drawings, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, payment certification, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of studies, conceptual and detailed designs, permitting and approvals. Support preparation of proposals and strategic business development activities with other team members.
