Requirements

  • We are flexible on your industry background/experience, but ideally want someone with mechanical engineering exposure. Full training will be provided, any technical or engineering knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Well organised, team player, have the ability to work well alone as well.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn about our products and how to effectively quote for our customer needs.
  • Valve/process industry experience will be an advantage, not essential as will provide training and support.
  • A formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering – Apprenticeship, BTEC/ ONC/ HNC/ HND Degree or similar will be an advantage.
  • No sales experience required, be customer driven; any experience/exposure to working in a similar role would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • - Office based within the Sales office at the Elland, West Yorkshire facility
  • - To assess technical and commercial enquiries from customers prior to preparation and to ensure that the best technically and commercially sound offer is proposed
  • - To work with the external sales teams distributors/agents to secure orders from customers in the region
  • - Correctly interpret customer’s requirements and offer an appropriate solution from the product range
  • - Coordinate with various internal departments to meet customers’ requirements
  • - Develop an excellent working relationship with both existing and potential customers, noting that this is not a development role, so no cold calling.
  • - Full product training will be given.
