What are the main responsibilities of the intern position?
The main responsibilities include conducting field and laboratory testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates, performing sampling or testing, assisting other field and laboratory personnel, transporting equipment and specimens, cleaning equipment and work areas, and taking on progressively increased roles of training and responsibility in work assignments.
What educational background is required for this internship?
A high school diploma is required, along with a BS degree in progress in a science or related field such as environmental science, safety, engineering, chemistry, biology, or geology. The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their BS degree.
Is prior experience required for this internship?
No prior experience is required, but candidates should be pursuing a relevant degree and be willing to learn and assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks.
What type of work environment can an intern expect?
