What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is for a duration of 6 months or longer. Part-time work can be arranged after an initial full-time period of at least 3 months.
Is the internship position on-site or remote?
This is an on-site role at our Munich offices. Limited remote work will be possible depending on project needs.
What qualifications are required for the internship?
Candidates should be Master’s students (or in the final year of Bachelor's studies) with a strong academic record in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
What programming languages and tools are preferred for this internship?
Demonstrated programming experience in Python is required, along with some experience with DevOps best practices (e.g., Git, unit testing).
What technical areas should candidates have a foundation in?
Candidates should have a foundation in areas such as Deep Learning, Machine Learning Operations, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and/or Large Language Models and Generative AI.
Is experience in web and app development considered an asset?
Yes, additional experience in related areas such as business analytics, web and app development (especially backend engineering), cloud computing platforms, and containerization technologies is considered a plus.
Are there any requirements for candidates from outside the EU?
Yes, students from countries outside the EU require a German residence/work permit.
What attributes are desired in candidates for this internship?
Candidates should possess excellent communication and organization skills, be highly motivated with a hands-on mentality, and be eager to learn and tackle new technical challenges in a business context.
