Responsibilities

  • - Work under the direction of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables.
  • - Focus on the design and engineering of power, lighting, grounding/bonding, special systems; e.g., tel/ data, security, fire alarm, raceway, cable tray and other electrical control and building support systems into the built work environment.
  • - Project work may include all levels of design such as studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
  • - Typical tasks and deliverables include power load, illumination, short circuit, voltage drop calculations, basis of design reports, code evaluations, single line diagrams, plans, schedules, installation details, specifications, and coordination with manufacturers and construction trade partners.
  • - Tasks will include utilizing computer aided drafting and engineering software.
  • - Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
  • - Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
  • - Coordinating with multiple disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).
