Responsibilities

  • How You Will Contribute:
  • The IC intern supports the development and execution of internal communications programs, materials, and strategies that are designed to:
  • build employee awareness and understanding of business strategy and priorities
  • celebrate and reinforce Ciena’s positive culture and inclusive environment
  • increase employee engagement and involvement
  • Specific duties include:
  • Assist in the production, writing, and analysis of newsletter content
  • Assist with our Ottawa communication channels (newsletters, events, digital signage)
  • Assist in executing various leadership internal communications activities
  • Attend weekly IC editorial meetings and assist in broader activities for the IC team with bias towards learning
  • Work with Corporate Communications to identify and adapt external stories for internal promotion, where appropriate.
