Description

  • As a Financial Research Intern, you will report to the executive business consulting team director. Your responsibilities will include providing financial insights and projections to the Strategic Consulting team. You will provide reliable corporate and financial data with analysis to be used in account decision-making and planning.
  • You will research large Global Fortune 500 businesses on the internet and selected financial tools provided by DS. You will assemble this research in research templates provided to you and prepare and present out briefs of that data to the consulting and sales teams. Thoughtful analysis, identify risk points and effective time management are highly desirable. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and post graduate studies in a business or financial related field. General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
  • Ability to shift directions quickly when priorities change
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work remotely onsite for the duration of the internship
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levels
  • Working experience in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required
  • Manufacturing /operations knowledge and exposure will be a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting skills as well as understanding strategic issues and direction based on financial, business, and annual reports.
  • Need strong critical thinking skills—someone who will stop, anticipate, and think about what comes next. Someone who likes to “solve the puzzle.”
  • Open on industry, need strong finance skillset. MBA/CMA/CPA pursuit highly desired
  • This is an individual contributor role working on a team delivering research. Someone who is driven, ambitious, executive presence and excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technology products to support the job

  • Potential to renew beyond end date. During this internship you will be expected to work on the following:
  • Provide FP&A finance and strategic responsibilities to the Strategic Consulting team of North America Industry Process Consulting organization.
  • Research, identify and understand business challenges and direction. Use analytical thinking to base conclusions of intent and purpose.
  • Dive deeply into corporate financial data and reports and work to become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively support and frame decisions to be made by the consulting team.
