The internship typically requires up to 20 hours of work per week from Monday to Friday.
Who is eligible to apply for the internship?
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) program with an emphasis in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other behavioral health specialties.
What type of supervision will interns receive?
Interns will work under the supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional and will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Health Center Director.
What skills and attributes are desired in applicants?
Applicants should possess strong time management, solution-focused, and organizational skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office are also highly desired.
Is a background check required for the internship?
Yes, completion of the pre-student/Intern/Practicum onboarding process will include a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screen.
Do I need a fingerprint clearance to apply?
Yes, applicants must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or must apply for one within 7 working days of assuming the role.
Will I have the opportunity to develop my projects during the internship?
Yes, interns will work closely with the Health Center Director to develop a project or process aimed at improving assigned clinic metrics, allowing for a well-rounded experience in the behavioral health field.
