What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is for 13 months, beginning in July 2025.
What qualifications are required for this internship?
Candidates should be studying for an undergraduate or Master's degree in Automotive, Motorsport, or Mechanical Engineering and must achieve a 2:1 or higher.
Is this internship open to international students?
Yes, but candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK during the placement.
Will I be required to travel during the internship?
Yes, the position requires readiness to travel within the UK and worldwide, as well as the possibility of working on weekends.
What type of technical skills are preferred for this role?
Candidates should have knowledge of engine hardware, combustion theory, thermodynamics, direct injection, spark topics, and network communication (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.).
What soft skills are important for this internship?
Good presentation, communication, negotiation skills, assertiveness, the ability to work under pressure, and organizational skills are important for this role.
Will there be an interview process after applying?
Yes, shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview and/or an online assessment centre.
Is there support for troubleshooting and system startup during the internship?
Yes, you will assist current Motorsport Engineers in providing technical support and troubleshooting during system startups and on the racetrack.
Do I need to inform my institution about my application?
Yes, you must inform your Faculty/School Placement Officer or course tutor before attending an interview for this position.
Is fluency in English necessary for this role?
Yes, fluency in English is required for effective communication in this role.
