Requirements

  • Enrolled in B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, M.B.A. or Ph.D programs.
  • Understanding of problem solving tools, including design of experiments
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to effectively present to cross-functional teams and executive leadership
  • Quality methodology, Design of Experiments, statistical process control methods and theory
  • Reliability methods and quality statistical sampling
  • Strong engineering fundamentals, with preferred focus on electro-mechanical interaction
  • Data driven and results oriented approach to problem solving
  • Inclination to be hands on, performing device tear downs, collecting diagnostics information and data gathering using instrumentation

Responsibilities

  • Manage and drive quality issues to closure by working closely with cross functional teams to identify root cause with an ability to influence how Apple designs, assembles and tests future iPhones
  • Conduct data analysis to quantify field impact of user facing issues
  • Summarize product issues, identify highlights and present them to Apple executives
  • Be involved in development and implementation of key tools and processes to enhance iPhone Quality’s push into Smart Quality
  • Perform hands on failure reproduction, triage and tear down of iPhones in order to get to root cause
  • Work in a highly collaborative environment on leading Apple technologies like FaceID, OLED displays, Cameras and Inductive charging
