Responsibilities

  • The role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of procurement as well as the experience of working within a leading engineering organisation.
  • Working within the Procurement operations team, this role will be accountable for the management of numerous small to medium supplier accounts. The role will also include project management of various supplier improvement projects, within the Procurement organisation. The role requires leadership skills to deliver against supplier and business performance objectives focused on procured parts delivery.
  • Accountability for the supplier relationship and daily interface
  • Project management of supplier improvement projects and accountable for ongoing supplier performance
  • Accountable for ensuring 100% on time delivery from suppliers
  • Daily communication with internal and external customers
  • Accountable for ensuring a monthly multi-function team (MFT) review is taking place with key suppliers
  • Accountable for the daily maintenance of supplier promise dates to ensure that the most up-to-date and accurate information is held
  • Contribute towards and support the Procurement Operations Manager to deliver the sales, inventory and operations performance forecast monthly and support delivery of the forecast
  • Ownership of the supplier scorecard process to ensure that supplier performance is communicated to all levels of the supplier and is regularly reviewed as part of the MFT reviews
  • Ensure prompt supplier payment by clearing any invoice queries
