Responsibilities

  • PTPTs will complete a GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council) accredited/recognised qualification leading on successful completion to meet the GPhC's requirements for professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • PTPTs will be required to participate in a rotational training programme, where they will have the opportunity to learn, develop and implement new skills and knowledge in each area of pharmacy including clinical ward services, dispensary, patient counselling, medicines information and pharmacy stores and procurement.
  • PTPTs will have a comprehensive education plan for each area, and their training will be overseen by an experienced and dedicated education supervisor.
  • There will be a requirement to participate in working late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
