Requirements

  • - ARRT eligible or in accredited radiology program.
  • - Current BLS required from AHA or ARC
  • - Must be currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technology program.
  • - Must be in senior year of Radiologic Technology program.
  • - Must be familiar with the majority of diagnostic radiology procedures with a high degree of manual skills and dexterity necessary for operation of equipment and patient care. Must be capable of applying technical skills to all age patients.
  • - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

  • - Under the supervision of the radiologist, supervisor and a registered technologist, performs procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients of all ages.
  • - Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results.
  • - Individual utilizes radiation protection for patients and employees.
  • - Individual administers contrast media and responsible for preparing sterile tray and/or fields.
  • - Individual assists patients and physicians as directed.
  • - Prepares, processes, and documents information to complete exams.
  • - When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
