What age group can apply to be a volunteer?
We are unable to accept volunteers aged under 16.
Is this a paid position?
No, this is an unpaid voluntary position.
What are the typical tasks I would be doing as a Sales Floor Volunteer?
Typical tasks include helping customers on the shop floor, promoting campaigns and sales, working on window and shop displays, keeping the shop tidy, and assisting fellow volunteers and staff.
What kind of training and development opportunities are available?
Volunteers have access to training and development to enhance their skills.
Are there any perks for volunteering with British Heart Foundation?
Yes, volunteers receive a 25% discount on donated goods and a 10% discount on new goods, unlimited free support from Retail Trust, travel expense reimbursements, refreshments, and volunteer certificates.
Can I volunteer only a few hours a week?
Yes, volunteering is flexible, and you can spare a few hours a week or a couple of hours occasionally.
What should I do if I have an unspent criminal conviction?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept volunteers with unspent criminal convictions.

Yes, help is available from the shop team for any customer queries you encounter while volunteering.

Yes, long service awards and references are provided for volunteers who commit to longer periods of service.
