What is the role of a Shop Volunteer (General Assistant)?
The role involves sorting stock, preparing donated items for sale, providing customer service, and generally helping to keep the shop organized and tidy.
Is previous experience required to volunteer?
No previous experience is needed for this role, and full training will be provided.
What are the typical activities I will be doing as a volunteer?
Typical activities include checking the quality of donated items, ironing and cleaning, labeling and pricing items, displaying products for sale, and general shop activities.
How much time do I need to commit to volunteering?
You can volunteer for a few hours during the week or weekend, as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours.
Can I volunteer if I am under 18?
There may be some locations where we cannot host volunteers aged 15-17, so please get in touch to discuss suitable volunteering opportunities.
Will I be required to use a till or a computer?
No, there is no expectation to use a till or computer in this volunteering role.
