  • This role is open to those with and without previous experience in social media and content creation (experience is useful but not essential)
  • The role will be based in our Splendid office in East London, so applicants will need to be able to attend the workplace throughout the week (although there may be an option for one day per week to be worked from home)
  • Many of our interns have been successful in securing a permanent role with Splendid after the initial internship period. For this reason, please only apply if you’ve finished studying or are not committed to another job and can consider a potential role directly after the internship.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of our digital and social media team, you will play an important role in helping to develop strategies and content that engage our clients' target audiences and elevate their brand presence online.
  • You’ll collaborate with the team to deliver witty, social-first copy at speed and position brands in social conversation through relevant and easy to understand visuals.
  • Collaborate with the social media and creative teams to brainstorm and develop content ideas and ‘always on’ strategies based on trending topics and insights
  • Stay up-to-date with industry news, social media platform updates, and digital marketing trends to inform content creation and strategy decisions
  • Assist in the creation of compelling social media content, including copywriting, visual assets, and multimedia elements.
  • Manage the sharing of reactive and planned reactive social media content on brand channels.
  • Track and measure the performance of social media campaigns and content
  • Build knowledge of social influencers and content creator communities and build and maintain lists across different social channels of relevant potential partners for brand work. Occasionally support with creative mailer send outs
  • Daily digesting of a broad range of online/social content and trends so you learn to recognise opportunities for clients and build your knowledge and contacts
  • Drafting copy for social content
  • Picking up the phone and selling stories and content ideas for your clients to influencers
  • Logging media coverage, image rights and where relevant, social analytics and helping your team to report back on results
  • Organising and helping to deliver influencer mailers including going out to shops in London to buy samples, managing sample deliveries and liaising with couriers
  • Assisting with events, including researching of costs and logistics where needed
  • Taking part in brainstorming and learning how to generate creative ideas for the agency and clients
  • Presenting your thoughts and ideas to your team (including at Splendid Loves, an informal ideas sharing session)
  • Working with your mentor and career development manager to regularly review your progress and learning, ensuring you get the best out of your Splendid experience
