The candidate must have a passion for speech recognition and representational learning, enjoy collaborative and ambitious teams, possess a growth mindset, be proficient in Python with experience in PyTorch/Tensorflow and HPC clusters, and have a portfolio of personal ML or software engineering projects.

As a Software Engineering Intern on the Machine Learning team at Speechmatics in Cambridge, you will be responsible for developing and training new language models, improving accuracy on challenging audio data, writing data preprocessing pipelines, scaling models across GPUs, sharing knowledge through journal clubs or blog posts, and fostering relationships with research organizations studying bias in AI.
