Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).
  • Available to begin work in May 2025.
  • Experience with the following software systems is considered an asset: Microsoft Office 365 , Teams. ServiceNow. SCCM, Intune.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a technical support role is an asset but not required.
  • Must be enrolled in a Computer Science, Information Technology, or Related Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
  • New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support Team with selecting new standards for Cenovus for refresh.
  • Assist with creating new reporting capabilities to help with team needs.
  • Project Collaboration: Work with the IT team on various projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and rollouts and contribute to project planning and execution, providing technical insights and support.
  • Create and update technical documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures, and maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and configurations.
  • Training and Support: Assist in training end users on new technologies and systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to users to enhance their technical proficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving end user computing processes and systems, and participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for enhancing IT services.
