Responsibilities

Managing projects from the client side as a representative of the Metropolitan Police.
Prepare briefs for consultants to define project scopes.
Managing consultants and contractors in a team environment to deliver the scheme within time and cost constraints.
Understand plans and specifications prepared by consultants.
The ability to raise purchase orders and approve invoices.
Monitor budgets and update the project management software (Artemis)
Working with all stakeholders (consultants, contractors and end users) to plan and execute projects.
Ensure requirements meet the MPS guidance.
Communicating the project status and any unexpected difficulties.
A basic understanding of CAD/Revit is required to edit and change building plans in relation to the projects. For example this can be used to give the end user a visual representation of what to expect and the consultant a clear plan to work with.
