Requirements

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.
  • Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate/graduate degree in electrical engineering.
  • Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • 2 years of academic ungraduated studies completed or a junior status
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Must have the ability to coordinate efforts with other technical disciplines
  • Strong Safety Focus
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project) sufficient to prepare effective business analyses, production logs, and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skill

Responsibilities

  • Individuals in this role use engineering & construction management knowledge as well as analytical skills to support assigned projects, including but not limited to:
  • Critical Path Project schedule development
  • Support project production reporting
  • Analyze production unit efficiencies and delays
  • Monitors and journals in field modifications for as built drawings
  • Work with production team members and subject matter experts to develop project execution plans
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Collect, consolidate, and review project performance data from field personnel
  • Support project teams with production reporting, weekly look ahead development, delay reporting, summary of data analysis and other processes to ensure compliance with department procedures and standards
  • Assist in development and review of project critical path scheduling and project execution plan
  • Assist in the development of Site Specific Safety Work Plan (SSSWP) to ensure safety of the job
  • Maintains, supports, and promotes a safe work environment while complying with all of Amtrak’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.
