What is the duration of the internship?
The internship will run from May 19, 2025, to August 2026.
What are the required qualifications for this internship?
Candidates must be actively pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Intelligence Analysis, Data Analytics, or a related field, have completed at least 3 years of academic undergraduate studies or have junior status, a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, and be available to work a minimum of 28 hours per week.
Is there a specific work schedule for this internship?
Yes, the intern will be expected to work between Monday and Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
What type of tasks will the intern be performing?
The intern will engage in report writing, data collection and analysis concerning crime trends, applying research techniques, and making recommendations based on findings.
Are there any preferred skills or knowledge for this position?
Preferred qualifications include the ability to analyze data, prepare complex reports, establish effective working relationships, and knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as SQL, Business Intelligence tools, PowerBI, and ESRI products.
What is the hourly pay range for this internship?
The hourly pay range is between $17.50 and $35.00 per hour, based on factors including school year and program of study.
