What is the main responsibility of a Survey Technician Intern at CEC?
As a Survey Technician Intern, you will assist experienced survey field staff in performing various survey tasks, including topographic and boundary surveys, route surveys, stream surveys, and construction stakeouts.
What kind of technology will I be exposed to during this internship?
You will gain exposure to progressive technology such as robotic total stations, GPS, Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones), and LiDAR scanning.
Do I need to have prior survey experience to apply for this internship?
Prior internship and/or survey experience is a plus, but current enrollment in an Associates or Bachelors in Survey program or a related field of study is preferred.
What physical requirements should I be aware of for this role?
You should have sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions, which may involve setting stakes, clearing brush, and hiking in ladened conditions.
