Responsibilities

  • The System Assessment Intern will provide support to the District System Assessment group in conducting field investigations of state-owned assets and assisting with planning and developing of culvert, bridge and roadway projects.
  • In this role you will assist with small culvert inspections.
  • Additional field investigations may be required on an as needed basis to assist the Culvert, Bridge, and Pavement Asset Engineers.
  • These investigations can be prompted by customer concerns, vehicular accidents, condition data, etc.
  • This position may also attend field checks, which are meetings to discuss the development of a funded project.
  • Additionally in this role you may also assist our scoping staff in the planning and development of projected capital projects.
  • This position will be work in the field and is subjected to the elements, appropriate dress for all weather conditions is necessary.
